Peaking Hardwood floors

Peaking and Buckling Hardwood floors

Damage is most likely on hardwood floor when the moisture in the bottom of the board begins to migrate to the top of the wood, causing the board to expand on top.  This results in excessive horizontal pressure and buckling. In most cases, the damage caused by the buckling cannot be repaired, and the floor will have to be removed and replaced.
