Once it has been determined that the floor can be salvaged by in-place drying, the first step is to determine a dry goal for the hardwood and subfloor. Directing warm dry air under and between the boards, is the most effective eay to dry the hardwood. The wood is considered dry when:
(RSA) 101 2011
- Hardwood and sub-sufaces are within 2-4 percentage points of normal EMC. ( Equilibrium moisture content)
- Sub-sufaces below harwood are dried to within 2-4 percentage points of the harwood.
